Tickets went on sale in February - and it sold out quickly - but the concert, originally set for April 26 was postponed because Hill had suffered a shoulder injury. The band consists of guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbons, bassist and co-lead vocalist Dusty Hill, and drummer Frank Beard. Gibbons then boasted of their new jackets, and how they began as a band with matching jackets from a Future Farmers of America store. "And the same three chords right here," he added, pointing to his cherry-red guitar. "The same three guys, right here," he said, pointing to his bandmates, all of whom are in their late 60s. Gibbons then reminded everyone that ZZ Top has endured for more than four decades, coming up on 50 years (the band formed in Houston in 1969). ![]()
